Known for its strong binding properties and thermal stability, it is a key ingredient in the manufacture of carbon electrodes, refractory materials, and metallurgical products.

Specifications:

• Composition : Complex mixture of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
• Form : Solid, glassy or semi-solid binder material
• Softening Point : Typically, 90 °C – 120 °C (depending on grade)
• Fixed Carbon Content : High (>60%)
• Volatile Matter : Low (10–15%)
• Ash Content : ≤ 0.5%
• Density : ~1.2–1.3 g/cm³
• Appearance : Black, shiny solid with brittle texture
• Specific Gravity : 1.18-1.26 at 25°C
